The band have announced 14 US shows, with a spaced-out itinerary and a format that puts their covers firmly centre stage.
Our Last Night are heading back on the road after telling fans their 2025 run would be their final tour.
The post-hardcore band have announced 14 US performances for The Covers Only Tour Part II, beginning in Nashville on 15 April 2027 and finishing in Chesterfield, Missouri, on 19 June.
Their return announcement, reproduced by Lambgoat on 21 October, confirms the shows without explaining whether regular touring is back on the agenda.
There is, however, a useful detail in the dates themselves.
The run falls into five blocks: 15–17 April, 29 April–1 May, 13–15 May, 4–5 June and 17–19 June. Each contains two or three consecutive shows, with gaps between them. Fourteen performances spread across just over two months is a different proposition from spending that entire stretch playing night after night.
That distinction matters given the reasons behind their original decision. As reported by ThePRP, in their May 2025 statement, Trevor Wentworth, Matt Wentworth and Tim Molloy spoke about wanting to be present for their families after years of extensive touring.
“This summer’s tour will be the last ever Our Last Night tour. The Final Tour,” they wrote.
They intended to keep making music. Whether the shorter blocks are a deliberate compromise with those family commitments remains unexplained.
The covers-only format has its own history, and BLUNT has a fairly revealing marker of how far things have shifted. In our 2020 interview with Trevor, he described covers as a way to introduce listeners to the independent band and promote their original material.
Back then, he said, “we’ll play one cover at most live.”
The covers have rather outgrown their supporting role.
Now they supply the premise for another tour, taking the band through cities including Atlanta, Sacramento, Anaheim, Phoenix, Denver and Chicago. The announced run contains no Australian dates.
General ticket sales begin on Friday 23 October, with Sacramento promoter Another Planet Entertainment and Royal Oak Music Theatre both confirming the sale date for their respective shows. Check individual listings for local opening times.
