The ANALOGr collection includes an early-demo processor, a Red Rocks toy piano and a broken snare microphone with an unusually frank sales pitch.
Billy Howerdel is putting instruments, studio equipment and memorabilia from his career with A Perfect Circle up for auction through ANALOGr.
The platform’s A Perfect Circle ArtistFirst Collection is advertised as a seven-day auction launching on 8 November 2026. Its catalogue connects individual pieces to the band’s earliest demos, studio recordings and live performances.
Among them is a Yamaha AES 1500. ANALOGr’s description says Howerdel calls it his “forever” guitar, used primarily in the studio with occasional appearances on stage.
A less conspicuous piece reaches further back. The catalogue identifies a Rocktron Chameleon processor as one of his earliest pieces of equipment, used on demos that later appeared on Mer de Noms.
The seller links a Remo Mondo djembe to performances of ‘Vanishing’ in 2003 and 2004. It also identifies a First Act Discovery toy grand piano as the instrument Howerdel played during ‘Annihilation’ at Red Rocks. That performance appears on Stone & Echo.
The memorabilia also includes Steven R. Gilmore’s original painting ‘Youth Number Three (Beautiful Losers)’, which the seller says was created for Mer de Noms and inspired by ‘Thinking of You’.
One microphone comes with a less conventional endorsement. A Shure SM57 is described as Howerdel’s former main snare mic, with the listing explicitly stating that it no longer works. It quotes his assessment: “I wouldn’t buy it”.
ANALOGr advertises the auction launch for 8 November, with individual timed lots starting on or after that date once their reserves are met. Australian buyers should check shipping arrangements before bidding: some items offer international delivery, while others require local collection or separately arranged freight. That includes a lot of metal plates and poles.
While the guitars might catch the attention, a touring band evidently has plenty of less glamorous baggage.
