Construction has ruled out Villa Park, sending the festival back to the National Bowl ahead of events in California and Mexico City.
Ozzfest has announced three dates for its 2027 return, with construction forcing its UK event out of Birmingham’s Villa Park and back to Milton Keynes’ National Bowl.
According to Kerrang!’s report, the festival will hit the National Bowl on July 10, Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California on September 11 and Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on September 18.
After months of teasers, Ozzfest has finally given fans something to put in the calendar. Sharon Osbourne is curating the line-up, with the names still under wraps.
The poster is less restrained: a giant demon, a fistful of bat and absolutely no interest in subtlety. Just as Ozzy would have it.
Anyone making the UK trip will need to check the destination before booking. BLUNT reported in August that Villa Park was the intended host, following Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s Back To The Beginning farewell concert there in July 2025.
Sharon said continuing construction meant the stadium would not be ready for live shows in summer 2027.
“The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year,” she said, via Kerrang!.
Milton Keynes has handled an Ozzfest crowd before. The National Bowl hosted the festival’s first UK edition in 1998, with the venue’s archive also recording its 2001 return with Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Tool and Papa Roach.
Ozzfest’s UK history continued beyond those Milton Keynes shows: Ozzy’s official 2010 tour archive records a London O2 Arena event on September 18, 2010.
Andy Copping, who worked with Sharon on Back To The Beginning, is also involved in the return. Mexico City, meanwhile, will host Ozzfest for the first time, according to Kerrang!.
