Jackass Is Back for A Fifth Film In 2026 And Yes, Johnny Knoxville Is In

Share

Against all odds, broken bones and common sense, Jackass is officially crawling back onto the big screen.

Johnny Knoxville has confirmed that a fifth Jackass film is in the works, with a theatrical release locked in for June 26th, the announcement came via a characteristically loose Instagram post, shared across the official Jackass and Gorilla Flicks accounts, signalling that the crew isn’t done throwing themselves into harm’s way just yet.

Knoxville didn’t overcomplicate the message, he wrote:

Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!

The post included the familiar Jackass skull logo, swapped crutches for crossbones, and a grinning Knoxville celebrating like a man who hasn’t learned a thing, which is exactly what fans want.

Beyond that

Details are thin, no cast list has been confirmed, though Knoxville’s involvement is obvious, and Steve-O’s enthusiastic “Yeah dude!!!” in the comments suggests at least some of the old guard are circling back.

The Gorilla Flicks repost also strongly hints that Jeff Tremaine will again be behind the camera, keeping continuity intact.

Steve-O previously hinted that something bigger than an anniversary tribute was brewing, saying the franchise was likely to “rear its ugly head” again, that head is coming back swinging.

Wil Bam return?

The big question? Will Bam Margera return? He was excluded from Jackass Forever following contract violations related to substance abuse issues, and there’s been no confirmation of his involvement this time around.

Since launching on MTV in 2000, Jackass has grown from a scrappy TV experiment into a box office juggernaut, with every film turning craziness into profit. Jackass Forever alone pulled in over $80 million worldwide, proving the appetite for pain based entertainment hasn’t faded.

Whether Jackass 5 is a victory lap or another bad idea taken too far remains to be seen, either way, the crash mats are coming off again in June.
