Gallery: Ocean Sleeper At Factory Theatre, Sydney – 6 June 2025

Factory Theatre turned electric last week as Ocean Sleeper stormed through a massive Sydney stop on their Aussie headline tour.

Ocean Sleeper brought the heat to Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Friday, 6 June, lighting up the room with a headline set that hit hard, fast, and deep.

Local favourites Heists opened strong, rallying the early crowd with a flurry of riffs and unrelenting energy. Their set was loud, lean and razor sharp – a fitting way to ignite the night. Next up was Zero 9:36, turning heads with his signature blend of rock and rap. His stage presence was all swagger and sweat, drawing the crowd in tight with every beat drop and breakdown. LA’s Point North kept the pace unrelenting, stacking pop-punk hooks over chugging guitars and carving out one of the slickest sets of the night.

But it was Ocean Sleeper everyone came to see – and when they took the stage, they didn’t waste a second.

From the haunting open of Cold to the gut-punch finale of Never The One, the Gippsland metalcore outfit gave everything. Parasite and Hate Me Like You Mean It were standouts, igniting pits and scream-alongs, while Sleepless and Lonely Love brought the emotional weight, thick and heavy. Frontman Karl Spiessl worked the crowd like a conductor, orchestrating chaos with a grin. The band’s connection with fans was electric, and the crowd gave it right back – every word shouted, every riff met with raised fists.

Sydney showed up loud and ready, and Ocean Sleeper gave them a finale worth remembering. Equal parts catharsis and chaos, it was a night that proved this band isn’t just one of Australia’s finest heavy acts, they’re a movement in motion.
