Australian rock veterans The Screaming Jets are wasting no time in 2027, locking in two very different stages that prove their live reputation still travels well beyond home turf.
Fresh off years of packed shows and decades of delivering full volume Australian rock, The Screaming Jets has confirmed a return to Tamworth Country Music Festival before heading overseas for their first ever appearance at Scotland’s iconic BONFEST.
The run begins in January with a return to The Longyard Hotel in Tamworth, marking the third consecutive year the band has appeared as part of the country music festival calendar, after sold out performances across both 2025 and 2026, demand is expected to move quickly once tickets go live.

Pushing boundaries
While Tamworth may seem an unexpected home for a hard rock institution, The Screaming Jets have built a reputation for thriving outside traditional genre boundaries, proving loud guitars and country crowds can coexist just fine.
Then comes the international leg, in late April the band heads to Kirriemuir, Scotland, birthplace of legendary AC/DC frontman Bon Scott, to perform as Special Guest at BONFEST on Friday, April 30th.
The annual event transforms the Scottish town into a destination for rock fans paying tribute to one of Australia’s most influential frontmen.
Frontman Dave Gleeson says:
“Bon Scott is a rock n roll hero – no question. He lived it like he sang it – straight up and hard, setting the stories of his wild life to the rock n rollinest band in the world. I love him so much I’ve got a tattoo of him on my arm!
So to be heading to BONFEST in 2027 as Special Guests on the Friday night with The Screaming Jets is a massive buzz for us.
It’s been a while between drinks for the Jets in the UK, and we can’t wait to catch up with all our mates over there, and rock out with a Scottish crowd, and maybe even sample a wee dram or two while we’re at it.

With six Top 10 albums and staples including Better, Helping Hand and Shivers, The Screaming Jets continue proving that decades in doesn’t mean slowing down, especially when one tour schedule stretches from country pubs to international rock celebrations.
