DIESECT Drop Brutal New EP HIDE FROM THE LIGHT, Announce Aussie Tour

Brisbane metal crew DIESECT have dropped their new EP HIDE FROM THE LIGHT alongside a national headline tour with UK heavies Graphic Nature.

Brisbane metal outfit Diesect have unleashed their heaviest and most refined project to date, with their new EP HIDE FROM THE LIGHT out now via Greyscale Records.

The six-track release marks their first under the Greyscale banner and sees the band dive headfirst into a thematic descent, charting the story of a person losing the will to heal until they’re consumed by darkness. “This story is told chronologically through each song on the project, with the opening and closing tracks intended to serve as mirrors of each other to convey the final message of the story; if you choose to hide from the light, you in turn will suffer in the dark,” the band explains.

It’s the third EP from DIESECT, and it’s already pulled in high praise from local and international outlets alike.

If that’s not enough chaos, DIESECT are taking HIDE FROM THE LIGHT on the road this August for a national headline run with UK hardcore outfit Graphic Nature. They’ll be joined by Darkmatter and No Life (NZ) for a sweaty jaunt through Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Ballarat, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. Tickets are on sale now.

Before that though, the band will join Make Them Suffer, Justice For The Damned and Gloom in the Corner across regional Queensland in June for four shows in Mackay, Gladstone, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

This isn’t the first time DIESECT have put their foot on the national stage’s throat this year. They tore up venues around the country earlier in 2025 on Thrown’s sold-out Excessive Guilt tour with Half Me (DE), and have built a resume supporting acts like Spite, Currents, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps.

With over 2 million streams already under their belt, DIESECT are tearing through the ranks of the heavy music scene in a big way.
