Falling In Reverse Dropped from Nova Rock 2025 After Vienna Drama

Share

Falling In Reverse and Austria are clearly not on good terms right now. The band has been dropped from the 2025 Nova Rock festival lineup after a wave of controversy.

The trouble began with the last-minute cancellation of their Vienna show on November 26. Fans were frustrated by the vague explanation of “unforeseen circumstances.” This marked the fifth cancellation of their European/UK tour, sparking heated discussions on Reddit.

Instead of addressing the backlash calmly, frontman Ronnie Radke fuelled the fire as he likes to do. During a livestream, he lashed out at fans questioning the Vienna cancellation. Radke dismissed their frustrations, calling them “entitled,” and jokingly referred to Vienna fans as “soft.” He even threw in a jab about “Vienna sausages.”

Less than a week later, Nova Rock organisers confirmed the band’s removal from the June 2025 festival. Their statement was short: “Falling In Reverse will not play at Nova Rock 2025.” While no direct link has been made to the recent Vienna incident, the timing is somewhat telling. The removal of Falling in Reverse came just 2 weeks after the band had posted on socials saying “AUSTRIA! We’ll see you at NOVA ROCK Festival.”

Fans have continued to berate the controversial singer online, with one Instagram user mocking Radke’s removal. “Hopefully Graspop, Rock am Ring, and all other festivals will do the same,” they wrote. Radke has since responded with another dig about “Vienna sausage bodies.”

Falling In Reverse’s Austrian fallout is likely just the beginning of the chaos their upcoming festival run has in store. We will have to wait to find out whether this recent controversy impacts any other appearances next summer. The timing of this fallout also could not be more significant for Australian fans too, with Falling In Reverse slated to return to the country in March 2025, Aussie fans will now be wondering if they will make it through the tour without a cancellation or two.

The recent controversy seems to be just another chapter in a career marked by both brilliance and chaos. It’s pretty clear from the reaction, that Radke’s past will continue to divide opinion. Though whether it begins to overshadow their live performances remains to be seen.
