Further Details Emerge Following Fatal Fall at Oasis’ Wembley Show

Further eyewitness accounts have surfaced following the tragic death of a man during Oasis’ fourth show at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.

The incident occurred toward the end of the main set, with a man in his 40s sustaining fatal injuries from what police described as a fall “consistent with height.” Authorities have called for anyone with relevant mobile footage to come forward, amid growing scrutiny over conditions inside the stadium that night.

Oasis released a brief statement expressing they were “shocked and saddened,” and extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends. The show continued following the incident, though news of the death broke shortly afterwards and cast a sombre tone over the final night of the band’s five-night run at the venue.

Fans who witnessed the fall have since spoken publicly, painting a picture of an atmosphere that may not have been properly managed for an event of this magnitude. One concertgoer told The Guardian they saw several people leaning precariously over the upper-tier railings, with little sign of staff intervention. “One guy was stopped but after that no security came down,” they said. “The security was so lax.”

Others pointed to excessive alcohol consumption and poor crowd control. “Beer was being thrown all night,” one witness said. “It made the floor slippy. I was surprised people could just take drinks up to the stands.” Another added that they were struck by flying cups: “If it had been full, it could have done damage.”

Wembley Stadium has since issued a statement defending its safety protocols, noting its certification under ISO 45001 standards and ongoing collaboration with authorities and event partners to maintain safety benchmarks. However, the combination of high alcohol sales – reportedly over 250,000 pints across the first three nights – and perceived gaps in crowd supervision has sparked concern.

This latest update follows our earlier reporting on the incident. Oasis continue their reunion tour this week with shows in Edinburgh and Dublin, before heading to North America. Two additional Wembley shows are scheduled for September.
