New social media posts from the Enmore Theatre in Sydney and the Forum in Melbourne have lead fans of Hayley Williams to believe she’ll be making her way down under soon.
This morning (September 17th), the Enmore shared a photoshopped image of its marquee to social media – which, instead of displaying an artist’s name, sports the phrase: “Sometimes it’s good to be the bigger person”.
Simultaenously, the Forum took to its own social media accounts and shared a photo of its marquee, with theirs reading: “But I’m so small I can’t compare”.
These two lyrics can both be found in Williams’ song ‘Dead Horse’, which featured on her debut solo album Petals for Armor back in 2020.
Both accounts shared their respective posts with a star emoji, while the social media account for Frontier Touring commented on each post with three thinking emojis – playing along with the tease while also heavily hinting at their involvement.
Williams is currently on tour in North America, with a slate of South American shows planned for November and a trio of Mexican shows slated for January 2027. As such, it is likely Williams’ prospective Australian tour will take place in the first quarter of 2027.
The Nashville-based singer-songwriter has been touring extensively since the release of her third studio album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, in 2025. Williams is, however, yet to tour Australia as a solo artist.
The last time she performed locally was in November 2023 as part of Paramore‘s This is Why world tour – which included a show at The Domain in Sydney to over 25,000 people, marking the band’s biggest-ever headlining show in their 20-plus year career.
Williams initially launched her solo career during COVID lockdowns, releasing Petals for Armor in May 2020 and its follow-up Flowers for Vases / Decansos in February 2021. A tour in support of the releases was planned, but was ultimately shelved due to ongoing restrictions on live music at the time.
The singer has been especially busy of late – not only touring as a solo artist, but collaborating with artists such as David Byrne and Moses Sumney on new music and forming a new band, Power Snatch. Most recently, she cameoed on the Netflix animated series Dang! as herself.
