Move over, hot dog-flavored water—there’s a new Limp Bizkit-themed beverage in town, and this one might actually go down smooth. Celestial Beerworks, a Dallas-based brewery, has dropped an IPA called “Fred Thirst,” a clever nod to frontman Fred Durst. And yes, it’s as gloriously ridiculous as it sounds.
While the beer isn’t officially licensed, it certainly doesn’t hold back on Limp Bizkit references. The can features Durst’s trademark backwards red cap and an Eckō T-shirt, plastered in a bold, repeat pattern. It’s a design that screams nostalgia for anyone who grew up spinning Significant Other.
“Fred Thirst” packs a punch, brewed with citra and mosaic hops to give it a strong, citrusy flavour. A four-pack is reportedly selling for $17.99 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to a post on Reddit. That price might sting, but who can resist the chance to sip on a beer named after one of nu-metal’s most infamous frontmen? Bonus trivia: “Durst” actually means “thirst” in German.
This isn’t the first time Limp Bizkit has inspired a drink. Last year, 7-Eleven teased a “Hot Dog Sparkling Water” in an apparent homage to the band. Thankfully, that turned out to be an April Fool’s joke. Because let’s be honest who would drink that?
“Fred Thirst,” however, is the real deal. It’s ready to quench the thirst of anyone who still shouts Break Stuff at full volume in their car.
Meanwhile, Limp Bizkit is gearing up for a big 2025. They’ll kick off their Loserville Tour in the UK and Europe this March, bringing their zany brand of chaos back to venues. Later in the year, they’ll join Metallica for a run of stadium shows across North America from April through June.
If you can’t catch them live, grab a “Fred Thirst” and let the beer do the talking. Whether you’re reliving the glory days or just discovering the band, this IPA is a fitting tribute to the unapologetic madness of Limp Bizkit.
