Måneskin announce Australian leg of the ‘RUSH!’ world tour

Share

Måneskin were always destined for the world stage, and nothing demonstrated that more than the universal acclaim they received upon their entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021. Taking out that title wasn’t enough for them, with the act immediately getting to work on their latest album RUSH! and playing shows in any city that would have them. Aussie fans have been eagerly anticipating the Italian rockers announcing that they’ll bring the carnival down under, and the details have finally fallen into our laps today of their visit to our shores this November.

In the last year, Måneskin hit over 25 countries between Europe, North America, South America and Japan in 2022, so it seems a visit down under is long overdue.”We can’t wait to come to Australia, it will be the first time for all of us so we’re pretty much curious about everything, especially the crowd,” the band shared. “It feels crazy to finally be able to meet our fans there!” They also set some expectations for their agenda while they’re here, adding: “Australia, we are coming for you! Expect fire, stage smashings and lots of sweat!”

The tour’s namesake, the band’s third studio album RUSH!, dropped in January of this year. It reached #1 in 15 countries and the top 5 in 20. As is usually the case with Måneskin, the record was released in mixed language, featuring songs in both Italian and English. Both in name and numbers, it’s exemplary of the fact that Måneskin aren’t slowing down any time soon, with the act also garnering a 2023 Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. There are artists we see on Eurovision that deliver memorable performances but shortly fall off the face of the Earth after the contest ends. Rest assured that’s not Måneskin – even with everything that they’ve achieved since, they’re only getting started.
