Metallica roars into Brisbane on Wednesday for a fiery show at Suncorp Stadium. Here’s everything we know from set times, tickets, and more.

Metallica has been tearing up Australia for almost a fortnight now as part of their M72 World Tour, and Brisbane is up next for their second-last show Down Under before they head to NZ.

We’ve rounded up everything you should know, including the set times, setlist, how to get to Suncorp Stadium in amongst the chaos, and more – so let’s get into it.

Metallica will play at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, 12 November.

According to the official Suncorp Stadium site, the Metallica set times are:

Gates Open: 4:30pm
Showtime: 5:30pm
Metallica (likely set time – see note below): 8:30pm
Stadium Curfew: 10:30pm

There’s no exact set times just yet for Suicidal Tendencies, Evanescence and Metallica, only gates open and kickoff – but based on previous performances in Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, it’s likely Metallica will kick off at 8:30pm. Stay tuned on the day for any updates and official confirmation of those times, though.

How to get to the Metallica Brisbane show

Parking restrictions will apply in the local Lang Park Traffic Area surrounding the Stadium and on-the-spot fines are on offer for those skirting the rules, so driving in to see Metallica may be a bit of a tricky one. Venue-approved PWD parking opens at 4:30pm.

There’s also no ride-share drop-offs or pick-ups permitted near the venue, so either plan ahead and use public transport, or expect a bit of a trek if you’re planning to Uber in.

Metallica ticket holders will have access to free public transport from 12pm on showday via all Brisbane buses and Queensland Rail City Network trains (excluding Airtrain). There’s also special event shuttles from 4:30pm running to Suncorp Stadium from Brisbane City (Ann Street Stop 7 and Stop 12) and Suburban Hubs (Carindale, Chermside, Eight Mile Plains, and The Gap).

The (foot and car) traffic leaving and arriving is bound to be pretty horrific, so plan to arrive early and expect delays on the way out.

The Metallica setlist for Brisbane is likely to follow a pretty similar route to other cities, with the exception of the Kirk and Rob doodle (covering different Aussie songs in each city). Here’s what you can roughly expect from the night:

Metallica Merch: Where to buy

Following the route of AC/DC and Oasis, Metallica is hosting an M72 pop-up shop in Brisbane which opens today (Tuesday). As with the other cities’ pop-ups, there’s a store-exclusive splatter vinyl edition of 72 Seasons, as well as a city exclusive screen-printed poster and t-shirt by Ken Taylor. There’s also a skateboard by Luke Preece, city patches, other limited merch, and classic shirts and accessories. According to Metallica’s Facebook page, you can also pick up an M72 Fan Card during your visit for a chance to win prizes, including Snake Pit passes.

The Metallica merch pop-up is located at 47 McLachlan St, Fortitude Valley 4006. Here’s the opening hours:

Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 November: 8:30am – 8:30pm
Thursday 13 November: 8:30am – 6pm
