Primavera Sound has revealed the line-up for its 25th Barcelona edition, and there is barely room left on the poster.
The festival will return to Parc del Fòrum from June 2 to 6, 2027, with Fontaines D.C., Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers and Massive Attack sitting among the largest names on an unusually dense bill.
The heavier and alternative end is just as crowded. Turnstile, Hayley Williams, Converge, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, FKA twigs, Pavement and the newly reunited Don Caballero are all booked. Robyn, The Chemical Brothers, Caroline Polachek, CHVRCHES, Skrillex, Ninajirachi, Underworld, BICEP and Lola Young stretch the programme well beyond guitar music.
The first announcement restores the visual identity used for Primavera’s original edition while keeping the festival’s recent commitment to gender-balanced programming. It also gives Doechii her first Spanish performance.
Massive Attack’s inclusion carries unfinished business. The Bristol group were due to perform in 2025 before heavy rain forced the cancellation of their set. Their return now lands inside an anniversary edition built around both history and the current state of left-field music.
The bill also resists the usual anniversary temptation to become a museum piece. Veteran names sit beside artists still rearranging the centre of pop, rap, club music and heavy music, which is a more convincing way to honour 25 years than simply repeating the festival’s past.
Registration for the initial €295 general passes remains open until midnight on October 7. General sales begin on October 9, when standard passes rise to €350 plus fees and VIP passes will cost €545 plus fees.
For Australian fans prepared to make the trip, Primavera sits at the other end of the calendar from Laneway Festival’s recently announced 2027 return. The two bills share the sense that alternative festivals are widening their definition of what belongs without sanding off the stranger edges.
The full Primavera line-up runs deep enough to produce several separate reunion and comeback stories. Don Caballero’s first show since 2009 is already one of them. For sheer scale, though, the headline is the poster itself.
