Ronnie Radke, never one to shy away from controversy, is making waves again after launching a profanity-laden tirade at fans questioning the recent cancellation of Falling In Reverse’s Vienna show.
The cancellation, along with another planned for Prague on November 28, was chalked up to “unforeseen circumstances” by the band in a brief social media statement. However, when pressed during a live stream, Radke unleashed a scathing response that has divided the band’s fanbase.
Radke’s Rant
During the stream, a fan asked why the Vienna show was cancelled—a question that clearly hit a nerve.
“Listen, you guys never understand what it’s like touring across the country, exhausted and tired,” Radke fired back. “We didn’t cancel the show. Shut the fk up… You guys are just fking fans. You don’t understand anything to do with it… Go eat a fking Vienna sausage and shut the fk up.”
Radke didn’t stop there, targeting what he called fans’ “entitlement” and ignorance about the realities of touring. He listed potential reasons for cancellations, from safety concerns to personal health issues, and added:
“You think people just cancel shows to cancel? You don’t need an explanation on why we canceled the show. Just know that it’s probably for a fking important reason. So go fk off anyway.”
Radke also compared the backlash Falling In Reverse receives to the treatment of other bands, referencing Bad Omens, who recently cancelled a European tour citing mental health concerns. “I don’t see any of you guys fking getting mad at him,” Radke said, adding, “Motherfker, go eat a Vienna sausage and shut the f**k up.”
A Pattern of Cancellations
Falling In Reverse’s history of show cancellations has become something of a meme within their fanbase, with Radke’s fiery personality often making headlines alongside the announcements. The most infamous instance occurred in 2022, when the band pulled out of a festival because they didn’t have their laptops—a decision that sparked debates about the reliance on pre-recorded elements in live performances.
As Falling In Reverse continues to play larger venues and expand their production demands, cancellations have become more frequent, with the band citing logistical issues for three shows earlier this month.
Radke’s Fans
Radke’s explosive comments have drawn mixed reactions from fans. Some defended his frustration, arguing that touring is and cancellations often involve factors beyond an artist’s control. Others, however, criticised his tone, suggesting it alienates the very fans who support the band.
For the alternative music world, this latest incident highlights a growing tension between fans’ expectations and the complexities of modern touring. As bands scale up to meet the demands of arena shows, logistical challenges—and the backlash to cancellations—are becoming increasingly common.
Whether Radke’s unapologetic style will further cement his polarising reputation or drive a wedge between Falling In Reverse and its fanbase remains to be seen.
