Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke isn’t one to hold back, and his latest dig at the UK proves just that. Ahead of the band’s Australian tour, Radke posted a video with a not-so-subtle jab at the country that previously denied him entry.
“What’s the difference between Australia and the UK?” he said. “Australia actually has dentists, and they also let me into your country so I can perform for you. They’re not scared. I’ll see you guys in Perth tomorrow.”
The comments come after Radke was denied a UK visa, forcing Falling in Reverse to cancel their planned performances there. While he’s been vague on the specifics, UK authorities have previously cracked down on artists with criminal records—a potential factor given Radke’s past legal troubles.
This isn’t the first time Radke has taken aim at the UK. Last year, he claimed that the country’s economy was “at risk” after Falling in Reverse were forced to cancel their shows. Now, with the band’s Australian tour going ahead as planned, Radke seems more than happy to rub salt in the wound.
For Australian fans, though, the only thing that matters is that the shows are happening. Falling in Reverse are set to play in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide Sydney, and Brisbane, bringing their theatrical, genre-blending live show to the country for the first time in years. Love him or hate him, Radke knows how to stir the pot—and he clearly enjoys every second of it.
While his comments about UK dentistry will no doubt rile up some fans across the pond, it’s all part of Radke’s larger-than-life persona. Controversy follows him wherever he goes, but so do sold-out crowds. As for the UK, it seems Radke isn’t in a rush to make amends. But in Australia, at least for now, he’s got a stage to stand on and an audience ready to scream back.
Falling in Reverse kick off their tour tonight in Perth (March 11). This will be followed by performances in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets can be purchased here.
