Story Of The Year Go Full ‘Weird Science’ In New ‘See Through’ Video

Story Of The Year have given ‘See Through’ the full Weird Science treatment in a new music video taken from their latest album, A.R.S.O.N.

Directed by Jordan Phoenix, the clip drops the St. Louis post-hardcore veterans into a mysterious laboratory, with frontman Dan Marsala playing a scientist attempting to create his ideal woman.

As you might expect, the experiment doesn’t exactly go to plan.

The band make the influence behind the concept fairly explicit, quoting Gary Wallace from Weird Science to sum it up.

“Making a girl. Actually making a girl. Like Frankenstein…except cuter.”

Story Of The Year ‘See Through’ video

‘See Through’ appears on Story Of The Year’s seventh studio album, A.R.S.O.N., which was released through SharpTone Records in February. The title stands for All Rage, Still Only Numb, with the 11-track record following 2023’s Tear Me to Pieces.

The album also features ‘Fall Away’, which includes a guest appearance from Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix.

Australian fans were originally meant to see Story Of The Year back here as part of Parkway Drive’s travelling Park Waves festival, that entire tour was cancelled last December before it could launch, with organisers citing a combination of challenges and saying that “the numbers no longer stack up”.

That means Story Of The Year’s most recent completed Australian run remains their 2024 Page Avenue anniversary tour, which saw them play Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane alongside Senses Fail and Behind Crimson Eyes.

Elsewhere, the band have spent much of 2026 on the road, with appearances at Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Download Festival and Vans Warped Tour among their dates this year.

They’ll keep moving in November when the second leg of their co-headlining Camp Screamo Tour with Silverstein begins in Seattle, before wrapping in Boston on December 13th.

For now, ‘See Through’ gives A.R.S.O.N. another visual chapter — and probably more laboratory equipment than Story Of The Year have ever needed in a music video.
