The Devil Wears Prada have cancelled their upcoming show in Vienna after vocalist Mike Hranica was reportedly hospitalised. The band were forced to cut their Paris show short on Friday after Hranica walked off stage and keeled over.

The Devil Wears Prada’s frontman, Mike Hranica, has been hospitalised following their performance in Paris on Friday, November 21st.

In fan footage from the night, Hranica can be seen looking physically uncomfortable performing the track ‘So Low’. After finishing, Hranica would walk off the side of the stage and keel over, prompting the band to cut their show short. Hranica would be hospitalised shortly after the incident.

A statement would come from the band earlier today, updating fans that Hranica is still recovering and would not be able to make their scheduled performance in Vienna.

“Our deepest apologies to our friends in Vienna as we are unable to make the show tonight. Mike was hospitalised before we could finish our show in Paris, and we’re taking an additional day of rest to prepare for the rest of the tour supporting Ice Nine Kills. Mike is recuperating.”

“We promise we’ll back in Paris and Vienna next year, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to next time around!”

The Devil Wears Prada’s next show with Ice Nine Kills & Creeper is set to take place in Munich, Germany, on November 24 (so later today). No cancellation has been made just yet, which could indicate the band will be in shape by then.

On November 14, the metalcore group would release their new album Flowers via Solid State Records. The album has been praised for reinventing the band yet again; however, it would note that it’s the group’s softest and least-heavy-hitting record to date.

In their review, Heavy Mag would go on to say: “Flowers is musically a decent effort and an easy listen showcasing rock melodics alongside pop attributes, with scattered metal moments. Perhaps I’m wrong in thinking this even bolder leap may further alienate older fans, but I also understand taking the chance to capitalise and reach for larger audiences with an even more accessible approach.”
