Trivium On Australian Tour: ‘We’re In Talks For Something For Next Year’

Trivium are in the “early stages” of planning a return to Australia in 2026, and say it’s possible Aussies “will get the first new album tour” as a “makeup” for missing out on the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.

Trivium have hinted that a 2026 Australian tour could be in the works, and with a new album in the pipeline, Aussies could be the first to hear it live as a “make up” for the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour never hitting local shores.

Speaking with BLUNT at Louder Than Life, Paolo Gregoletto (bass, backing vocals) and Corey Beaulieu (guitar, backing and unclean vocals) said that while no Australian tour had been confirmed, the band was “in talks” for something in 2026 that would be “really killer” if it goes ahead.

“I think we’ll be down there no matter what,” Gregoletto said. “I’m hoping the thing that’s kind of like in the very early stages does happen, because it would be pretty sick…I’ll leave it at that.”

“We definitely will be down. Obviously, we have this EP and I mean, we’re writing our next album at the same time…in between these shows [and] the tour we got coming up. So [it’s] very possible we might even have even more music by the time we do get to Australia, so we’ll see,” he added.

Beaulieu chimed in, teasing that “Australia might happen around the same time as a new [Trivium] record, who knows? Maybe Australia will get the first new album tour.”

Referencing the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour with Bullet For My Valentine that had previously been all but confirmed to hit Australia before abruptly ending in May, Gregoletto and Beaulieu said bringing new music down under before anywhere else could “make up” for not sticking to that promise. “Sorry we couldn’t make it this time, but that’ll be hopefully our make up,” they added.

So far, nothing concrete out of the Trivium camp – but it’s slightly more solid confirmation that a Trivium Australian tour is on the horizon, and maybe sooner than fans might’ve expected.

Their Poisoned Ascendancy counterparts Bullet For My Valentine are gearing up for their own Australian tour kicking off next week, and it seems like Trivium are almost ready to make the trek themselves.
