Turnstile Are Hosting One-Night-Only Screenings Of ‘Never Enough’ In Australia

Share

Turnstile will screen their new film Turnstile: Never Enough in Melbourne and Sydney this week, coinciding with the album’s global release.

Grab your popcorn: Turnstile are bringing their new era to the big screen, announcing two Australian cinema premieres for Never Enough, the film companion to their upcoming fourth album.

The Baltimore hardcore outfit will debut Turnstile: Never Enough this Thursday, June 5 in Melbourne, and Friday, June 6th in Sydney – the same day the record lands globally. Melbourne fans can catch the screening at Cinema Nova in Carlton, while those in Sydney can head to the Palace Chauvel in Paddington. Both sessions are locked in for 5:30pm local time on their respective days.

Tickets for the event are just five dollars and include a digital download of Never Enough – with every ticket purchased also counting towards the album’s ARIA chart position. Limited-edition vinyl and exclusive merch will be on sale at the venues, giving fans a chance to get their hands on some rare gear before the broader release. Tickets are on sale now through Maniacs Entertainment.

The film itself is a visual interpretation of the 14-track album, co-directed by frontman Brendan Yates and guitarist Pat McCrory. It’s being billed as a deep dive into the emotional landscape the band has crafted across Never Enough, with press materials describing it as: “Dreams in motion. Follow Baltimore hardcore rock band, Turnstile, as they search for meaning in the vastness between tranquility and chaos…a journey into the heard of their sound.”

Never Enough has been gradually revealed across the past two months. It was first teased via a billboard on Sunset Boulevard, before being formally announced in April alongside the title track. Since then, Turnstile have released three more singles from the record: ‘Seeing Stars’, ‘Birds’, and ‘Look Out For Me’.

This marks Turnstile’s first major move since their last Australian visit in 2023, when they tore up stages across Laneway Festival and a string of sold-out headline dates with Sydney hardcore crew Speed. The band were also due to appear at Splendour In The Grass last year, before the festival was abruptly cancelled weeks out.

Never Enough drops this Friday worldwide – and if you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, it’s now also a chance to catch Turnstile’s vision in full cinematic scope.
