The band and Wembley Stadium have issued statements following the tragic incident that took place last night.

A man in his 40s has died after falling at an Oasis concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, according to police.

The man was understood to be sitting in the upper tier of the stadium, and fell sometime during the concert.

London’s Metropolitan Police shared that officers and paramedics responded to a call at 10:19pm reporting an injured person was found with “injuries consistent with a fall”. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oasis have since shared a statement:

“We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said “medics, the London ambulance service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall”.

“Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.”

Police have asked that anyone who witnessed the incident get in touch and share any information they might have.

“The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage,” the police statement said.

Wembley Stadium confirmed that Oasis will still be performing their last string of sold-out shows as scheduled.

The Wembley concert follow the Gallagher brothers reuniting for the first time on stage in 16 years. Oasis are about to set off to America, before briefly returning to Wembley Stadium in September. The famous rock group will then set off to South Korea, Japan and Australia in October and November.
