Groove metal heavyweights DevilDriver have released their long awaited new album Strike and Kill, delivering 13 tracks of uncompromising aggression just as they tear through Australia alongside Cradle Of Filth.
Strike and Kill is out now via Napalm Records, the record follows DevilDriver‘s acclaimed Dealing With Demons double album and sees Dez Fafara and company doubling down on the crushing blend of groove metal, melodic death metal and thrash that has defined DevilDriver for more than two decades.
Coinciding with the album’s arrival is the release of the official music video for its ferocious title track, with Fafara explaining that Strike and Kill is built around the consequences of acting without thinking:
“‘Strike and Kill’ is a song about individuals that have to learn lessons the hard way. Sometimes in life, you need to learn things the hard way in order to make your next decision or next move properly. Beware the moves you make at midnight behind emotion and without any thought of consequence. For you will learn lessons, and they will be taught to you the hard way.”

The new album arrives after an impressive campaign that saw its lead singles become favourites on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal while longtime fans praised the material as a return to the band’s trademark intensity.
Across Strike and Kill, DevilDriver blend punishing riffs, relentless drumming and Fafara’s unmistakable roar with flashes of melody and atmosphere, creating another hard hitting entry in the band’s extensive catalogue.
