ERRA are back in that headspace where metalcore turns into something bigger than riffs and breakdowns.
The band have officially announced their new album ‘silence outlives the earth’, due out March 6th via UNFD, and they’ve kicked things off with a new single titled ‘further eden’.
It’s not the first glimpse of the record, ERRA have already released ‘gore of being’ and ‘echo sonata’, but ‘further eden’ feels like a deliberate pivot in mood, it’s still unmistakably ERRA, but there’s a brightness to it that cuts through the usual steel grey palette.
The band say the album explores “themes of existence and the human condition.”, speaking on the new single, guitarist Jesse Cash explained how it came together, highlighting that it carries a different energy to their usual approach (per Metal Sucks).
“’further eden’ was a song that Clint started and we built upon in the studio. The pentatonic leaning roots the song into a lighter energy than we typically employ, and the song feels like a fresh form of expression from the band. We were specific about wanting the music video and accompanying visuals to reflect that lightness.”
That “lighter energy” is the hook here, ERRA have always been technical and emotionally sharp, but this track leans more into atmosphere and uplift, like it’s trying to find something clean inside the noise.

‘silence outlives the earth’ is available to preorder/pre-save now, and while the announcement is US-heavy (as these things often are), the album itself is the main event for us Aussie fans, the band are also set to tour the US this spring with Currents on a co-headlining run.
