Canberra’s Hands Like Houses have joined forces with Dream On Dreamer for a new single, ‘Warning Signs’, landing just as both bands gear up to tear across the country on The Lótus Tour this April.
There’s history baked into this one, these aren’t two acts crossing paths for the first time, Dream On Dreamer were there at the beginning, taking Hands Like Houses out on their first Australian tour back in 2011, over a decade later, they’re still here and still pushing forward together.
‘Warning Signs’ leans into that shared weight, it’s a track built around emotional burnout, the song captures that numb, drifting state where everything looks fine on the surface, but underneath it’s a slow build of anxiety, exhaustion and overthinking that’s getting harder to ignore.

“We were stoked to work on this track with Dream on Dreamer,” says Hands Like Houses bassist Joel Tyrell (per press release). “Their guitarist, Callan, is a very close friend of ours and he has produced a lot of our music. And we have known the guys since they took us on our first tour of Australia in 2011… crazy. It felt like a great time to celebrate our upcoming tour and the fact we are still touring, creating and loving music.” (per press release).
That sense of longevity matters, with both bands have outlasting trends, lineup shifts and the constant churn of the heavy scene.

In a move that actually backs the scene they came from, Hands Like Houses opened submissions for local bands to jump on each show, it’s not just talk about community, it’s giving new acts a real shot at bigger stages alongside two of Australia’s most consistent heavy rock names.
After a year that saw Hands Like Houses score a #2 ARIA album and tour alongside The Used and The Butterfly Effect, this run feels less like a victory lap and more like momentum.
‘Warning Signs’ is out now via Civilians.
