HEALTH Share Their Darkest Track Yet With ‘THOUGHT LEADER’

HEALTH have shared their bleakest track yet with ‘THOUGHT LEADER’, taken from their upcoming album Conflict DLC, releasing December 11th via Loma Vista Recordings.

Everyone’s favourite Cum Metal group HEALTH have shared ‘THOUGHT LEADER’, their third single taken from their upcoming album Conflict DLC, releasing December 11 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The new track is a bleak turn on the album, and deals with the isolating world social media puts us in and how it warps our sense of self.

In a press release, the band would share:

“A haunting reflection of our hyperconnected reality, new single ‘Thought Leader’ explores digital isolation, cynicism, and emotional numbness in the modern age – it is HEALTH at their most existentially charged and sonically ferocious. Trapped in a loop of screens, self-doubt, and consumer emptiness, the song captures the crushing sense of burnout and lost meaning that defines the post-digital psyche.”

CONFLICT DLC continues HEALTH’s trajectory of bending genres while anchoring their sound in bleak intensity. Their latest effort marks the group’s journey from an abrasive electronic noise group into pioneers of the new cum metal label, following their last record RAT WARS. Now, with their latest track ‘Thought Police’, the band continues to be the soundtrack for alienation and self-doubt in an ever-growing digital world.

Speaking to NME, vocalist Jake Duzsik revealed that CONFLICT DLC is a direct continuation of the themes and sounds of RAT WARS, while also taking it to the next level.

“If RAT WARS feels like a concept record in this expansive landscape, then Conflict DLC is going to distinguish itself by being more uptempo, more bangers, more fun and shit I know will be fun to play live.”

HEALTH would share their second track, ‘VIBE COP‘, earlier in October, which encapsulates the band’s mission in taking the sounds from RAT WARS and pushing them further. Teaming up with Lamb of God’s Willie Adler once again, the group would deliver their heaviest track to date.
