Ozzy Osbourne’s youngest son Jack Osbourne, has shared a touching tribute on social media, writing, “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.”

In the weeks following Ozzy Osbourne‘s death, the late singer’s youngest son, Jack Osbourne, has shared a touching tribute on Instagram. “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much,” he shared. “I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.”

The video is a carousel of photos and videos throughout Jack and Ozzy’s lives. The video starts with a clip of the Black Sabbath singer introducing his son on The Howard Stern Show, where Jack says it’s “very cool” to call Ozzy his dad. Later on, the clip shows Ozzy bonding with his son’s daughters.

“He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him ‘Dad,’” Osbourne wrote. “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.”

Osbourne would end his post with a quote from Hunter S Thompson, which he shared “best describes my father”. It reads: “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body… but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’” Concluding the post, Osbourne wrote, “That was my dad. He lived and he lived his life fully. I love you dad.”

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, surrounded by family at his Buckinghamshire estate, just weeks after his final Back to the Beginning performance at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates.
