Longlegs Director Osgood Perkins Returns With The Chilling Keeper Trailer

Share

Tatiana Maslany battles… something in the latest from the director of The Monkey.

After The Monkey and Longlegs, director Osgood Perkins is a genuine horror superstar. While he got plenty of attention in genre circles for his earlier stuff like The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, the critical acclaim and box office success of his last two films means that any new Perkins joint is now a genuine horror event. Which is a long way of saying that there is a new Perkins joint imminent, it’s called Keeper, and we have the trailer.

Keeper Trailer

What’s the plot?

What we don’t have is much if a synopsis, except this:

During a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin, a woman finds herself alone and isolated when her husband suddenly departs, only to encounter a sinister presence that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.

Which, frankly, could mean anything. We have faith, though.

Who’s in it

All we know so far is that Tatiana Maslany is playing Liz, the woman left secluded and at the mercy of whatever supernatural shenanigans are going down, and Rossif Sutherland is playing Malcolm, her husband. This might actually be a two hander.

When’s it out?

Keeper hits Australian cinemas on November 13, 2025.

What’s the vibe?

Mysterious but intriguing, I guess? Hopefully Keeper is a keeper, but there’s not much to go by except Perkins’ past form and some endorsements from horror luminaries who have seen the flick. Guillermo Del Toro said, “Keeper is pure Perkins. Horror origami that skillfully folds into itself.” while James Wan called it “A terrifying, ghostly descent into madness.” and those guys oughtta know what they’re on about. We’re keen.
