He-Man Says The Thing In A New Masters Of The Universe Clip

Share

C’mon, you know the thing.

Amazon MGM Studios have released a new clip from their imminent Masters of the Universe movie. Now, it’s only a lean 23 seconds long, and a lot of that is spent lingering on star Nicholas Galitzine’s impressively ripped bod. But it does contain a phrase we haven’t heard on screen for a very long time. Go on, give it a click, let the ’80s nostalgia wash over you.

What’s the plot?

As the official synopsis tells us:

After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.

Who’s in it?

  • Nicholas Galitzine as Adam Glenn, actually He-Man, the Prince of Eternia, cosmic muscle man. you know the drill. Artie Wilkinson-Hunt plays the young Adam.
  • Camila Mendes as Teela, Man-At-Arms’ adoptive daughter and Captain of the Guards, historically the token chick. Eire Farrell is the young Teela.
  • Jared Leto as Skeletor, a disfigured sorcerer who covets the power of Castle Grayskull to conquer Eternia and the rest of the universe.
  • Idris Elba Man-At-Arms, mentor, 2IC and grizzled veteran.
  • Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, a evil sorceress and basically Teela’s opposite number.
  • Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, guardian of Castle Grayskull.
  • Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, and bless ’em for going there.
  • James Purefoy as King Randor.
  • Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, stronaut from Earth and Adam’s mother.
  • Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto.
  • Sasheer Zamata as Suzie.
  • James Wilkinson as Mekaneck.
  • Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man.
  • Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
  • Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man.
  • Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw.
  • Christian Vunipola as Hussein.

When’s it out?

Masters Of The Universe is in cinemas from June 4.

What’s the vibe?

Well, he certainly looks the part, doesn’t he? I’m a little puzzled as to why we didn’t get a “By the power of Grayskull!” in there, though.
