I was six when the Masters Of The Universe toys first hit, so you better believe I was dead centre of their target market. Now I’m… no longer six, and it seems I still am? Something has gone seriously wrong with our culture. Nonetheless, I won’t deny feeling the subtle poison of nostalgia gently scar the chambers of my heart as I watch these flesh and blood action figures get bashed together by director Travis Knight, one of Hollywood’s most talented nepo babies.

What’s the plot?

As the official synopsis tells us:

After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.
