MGK And Fred Durst Drop ‘FIX UR FACE’ As Nu-Metal Revival Hits Full Stride

Share

Machine Gun Kelly has officially released ‘FIX UR FACE’, his long teased collaboration with Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, after first unleashing it live during his now wrapped Australian tour.

What started as a chaotic debut in Perth has now landed as a fully realised single, and it’s leaning hard into the nu-metal DNA MGK has been flirting with for years.

The track doesn’t pretend to be subtle, ‘FIX UR FACE’ is built on that familiar bounce, thick guitars, punchy rhythm, and a hook that feels lifted straight out of a late ‘90s pit, MGK comes in swinging with his usual cocky delivery, while Durst slides onto the chorus like he never left, adding just enough grit to ground the whole thing.

A calculated pivot back to heaviness

There’s a noticeable shift here, earlier this year, MGK dropped ‘times of my life<’, a more reflective cut that leaned away from the chaos, ‘FIX UR FACE’ flips that completely. It’s louder, sharper, and far less interested in introspection.

Pulling Durst into the mix isn’t just a feature, MGK has been circling heavier sounds for a while, but this locks it in with someone who helped define the era he’s clearly drawing from.

Shot across five cities

The accompanying video, directed by Sam Cahill, doesn’t hold back either, it was filmed across London, Prague, Berlin, Dublin, and Los Angeles, it tracks MGK moving through a series of urban backdrops while Durst anchors the chorus moments.

It’s slick, fast cut, and built to match the track’s restless energy, there’s no overthinking it, just movement, attitude, and a clear focus on the track’s punch.

Limp Bizkit aren’t slowing down

Durst’s appearance also lands as Limp Bizkit gear up for a massive 2026 run, the band is locked in for headline slots at Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock, alongside a stack of international festival dates.

If ‘FIX UR FACE’ proves anything, it’s that the nu-metal resurgence isn’t just nostalgia, it’s still mutating, still pulling new blood into the fold, and MGK is clearly keen to be part of that next wave.
