Nevermore Debut New Official Live Video For “Born”

Share

Having reformed after 15 years, Nevermore have dropped a blistering clip captured at their April 1 reunion show.

It’s been a big couple of years for Nevermore. Having gone on hiatus in 2011 after almost 20 years in the ring, the fate of the Seattle prog metal outfit seemed well and truly sealed after the death of original vocalist Warrel Dane in 2017 and former guitarist Tim Calvert in 2018.

But never say never when it comes to Nevermore, as in 2025 founding guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams confirmed they’d be returning with a new line up.

Then came the news that Jack Cattoi (Viminal) would be joining the band on guitar, with Semir Özerkan (Oceans of Slumber, Necrofier) on bass, and Berzan Önen (Inner Urge, My Torment) on lead vocals, while the band signed a new deal with Reigning Phoenix. Loomis and Williams released a statement saying, “We are thrilled to announce that Nevermore has officially signed with Reigning Phoenix Music! It was obvious from the start that they were the perfect partner for the new era of Nevermore. Their passion for metal music combined with the extensive industry pedigree of their team made the choice easy.”

There first reunion show took place at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş in Istanbul, Turkey, on April 1, and as you can see from the new official live video for “Born”, cut together from board audio with footage taken by crew and fans, it went off like a frog in a sock:
