The swashbuckling anime adaptation drops on March 10.

Fans of anime-inspired swashbuckling adventure have some good news today, as Netflix announced the release date for One Piece: Into The Great Line. The second season of the streamer’s hugely popular adaptation drops on March 10, 2026.

I’ll admit to having missed the One Piece boat every time its sailed past my island on the great Peninsula of Culture. Not out of distaste, but out of a concrete awareness of just how much of the stuff there is. The manga’s been running since 1997, the anime’s racked up almost 1200 episodes, and no end is in sight for either. I don’t think I’ll live long enough to find out if the kid in the hat becomes the Pirate King or whatever the hell is going on here. Happily, Netflix has provided a synopsis:

Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, One Piece, returns for Season 2— unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies. One Piece is a live action pirate adventure created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix.

They’ve also fanged out this evocative piece of key art to pique your interest:
