Powderfinger’s Live 27 reunion tour has expanded to 26 Australian shows across six cities, with additional dates confirmed ahead of general ticket sales.

UPDATE: 16 October 2026

Powderfinger’s highly anticipated Live 27 reunion tour has expanded to 26 Australian shows, with additional performances added following strong demand during ticket presales.

The Brisbane rock veterans originally announced 18 dates across six cities, but the itinerary has since grown considerably, with additional shows confirmed in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.

According to Live Nation’s current tour listings, the expanded schedule includes six performances in Brisbane, two in Cairns, three in Perth, six in Sydney, two in Adelaide and seven in Melbourne.

Among the latest additions listed by the promoter are a Sydney performance at The Domain on Monday, 4 October 2027 and a Melbourne show at Melbourne Park Oval on Monday, 1 November 2027.

The expanded itinerary follows significant demand during the initial ticket presales. ABC News reported on 14 October that the band had already increased its schedule to 24 performances, with further dates subsequently appearing on Live Nation’s ticketing platform.

Live Nation’s presale began on Friday, 16 October, with general public tickets scheduled to go on sale on Monday, 19 October. Onsale times vary between cities.

The complete 26-date itinerary is listed below.

Correction, 23 October 2026: The itinerary below has been corrected to include all 26 announced shows. An earlier version listed only the original 18.

Original announcement: 12 October 2026

Powderfinger have officially unveiled their full Live 27 reunion tour, confirming 18 Australian shows across six cities between September and October 2027.

Following Friday’s reunion announcement, as previously reported by Blunt, the Brisbane rock veterans have revealed an unconventional setup for their long-awaited return. Rather than traditional arenas, the concerts will take place beneath a custom-built, stadium-sized big top, with capacities of up to 13,000 fans per show.

The tour kicks off in Brisbane on 3 September before heading to Cairns, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, wrapping up on 30 October. The band has described the travelling production as part festival, part spectacle, with seated and standing ticket options available.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Powderfinger explained why the time finally felt right to return to the stage.

“We are absolutely ecstatic to be coming together to play again,” the band said. “Over the years there have been tons of suggestions for us to go back on the road but, until now, it never felt quite right or lined up for all of us.”

The band also acknowledged the generations of fans who have discovered their music since their farewell tour, including their own children, who were too young to attend their previous shows.

Powderfinger have confirmed that the tour will feature exclusively Australian support acts, with different artists joining them across the country. The line-up is expected to be announced in November, coinciding with Ausmusic Month.

The band has also partnered with Mission Australia to raise funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness, with further details of the initiative to be announced.
