Powderfinger’s 2027 reunion tour is completely sold out, but fans who missed out could get another chance, with more shows being planned.
Powderfinger have sold out all 26 shows on their 2027 Australian reunion tour, and they’re already working on another run for fans left empty-handed.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, the Brisbane band thanked fans for clearing out the entire itinerary: “Every seat. Every city. Every show.”
According to The Music’s report of the tour’s latest press release, more than 300,000 tickets were purchased in six days, with the remaining allocation snapped up during the general sale on Monday, 19 October.
That is a lot of people rearranging their 2027 calendars. For everyone still without a ticket, though, the announcement comes with a reason to keep watching.
The Music reports that the band’s team is working to secure a final encore run at selected outdoor venues under Big Top tents in September and October 2027. Specific dates, locations and ticket-sale details have not yet been announced.
Powderfinger’s own statement confirms the intention to put together more shows in selected destinations, acknowledging the difficulty of buying tickets while juggling work, children and everyday life. The band has asked fans to be patient while those plans take shape.
As BLUNT previously reported, Powderfinger’s reunion tour expanded from 18 performances to 26 following strong presale demand. The run covers Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, with six hometown shows and seven Melbourne dates.
The official schedule begins at Brisbane Showgrounds on 3 September and finishes at Melbourne Park Oval on 1 November 2027. That November finish belongs to the announced tour, separate from the September/October window reported for the proposed encore shows.
The Big Top is also part of the existing production. Powderfinger’s official website describes a travelling, stadium-sized tent with standing and reserved seating, bringing the concerts to outdoor sites across the six cities.
For now, fans who missed out can join the official mailing list for further announcements. Another chance is being worked on, but there is no new on-sale date to put in the diary yet.
