The Devil Wears Prada Announce New Album ‘Flowers’ & Share Short FIlm

The Devil Wears Prada has released a new short film, That Same Place Where The Flowers Never Grow, and announced their ninth album, Flowers, releasing November 14 via Solid State Records.

The Devil Wears Prada has finally announced a follow-up to their 2022 album Colour Decay in the most spectacular way. Flowers, the band’s upcoming ninth album, is set to be released November 14 via Solid State Records.

The metal group announced the news by gracing fans with a double single release for songs Where the Flowers Never Grow’ and ‘Wave’.

In a statement, guitarist and vocalist Jeremy DePoyster wrote, “Where The Flowers Never Grow is a song about the realisation that no matter how good things get from the outside, there is a still a place of darkness in our minds… the place where flowers never grow,” says DePoyster.

The hours spent away from the stage and the bright lights can be a lonely place. The lyrics are a reckoning with how you can receive everything you thought you wanted, but you still have to reckon with the intrusive thoughts of emptiness and old wounds that you’re trying to find a way to heal. My hope is that anyone who hears the song feels seen, that they’re not alone in the darkest corners of their mind, and that we’re all trying to find a way forward.

Following the double single release, The Devil Wears Prada has also dropped a short film to promote the upcoming album’s release.
