Trivium Confirm 2026 Australian Tour Plans (But Not With Avenged Sevenfold)

Trivium have quietly confirmed what Australian fans have been waiting to hear — they’re coming back.

The band responded directly to fans online this week, shutting down rumours they’d be supporting Avenged Sevenfold on their upcoming Australian run, but delivering something arguably more interesting in the process.

“We are not supporting them but we will be down later this year,” the band wrote, before doubling down in a follow-up reply: “We will be in Australia just not with them.”

It’s a simple exchange, but one that effectively confirms Trivium will return to Australia in 2026, even if the official announcement hasn’t landed yet.

The update follows the collapse of the highly anticipated co-headline run between Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine, which was originally expected to expand into international markets, including Australia. That tour never materialised locally, leaving fans in limbo, until now.

What this new run looks like is still unclear. Historically, bands of Trivium’s size tend to hit Australia as part of a wider touring block, often aligning with major events like Good Things Festival or building a headline run around the same window.

The timing of their comment, “later this year” places any potential return firmly within Australia’s peak touring period toward the end of 2026, when international acts typically land for festival season and headline runs.

At this stage, there are no confirmed dates, venues or ticket details. But the wording leaves little room for interpretation: Trivium are coming back, just not in the way many expected.

And after the original tour fell apart before it ever reached Australian shores, this time it sounds like it’s actually happening.
