Troll 2 (Not That Troll 2) Gets A New Trailer

Monsters run amok in Norway once more as Netflix pops out a sequel to their fun horror romp.

Who doesn’t love trolls? Not the ones that make you wish you could strangle someone through your phone screen, but the ones whose D&D stats you might have pored over in your youth. Big, toothy, meat-eating trolls haunting the Scandinavian hinterlands, hungry for human flesh. Those trolls we dig. With that in mind, here’s the trailer for Troll 2, the sequel to Netflix‘s fun 2022 dark fantasy. And not, we must stress, a remake of one of the worst films of all time.

What’s the plot?

There, as the official synopsis tells us:

When a dangerous new troll is awakened, unleashing devastation across Norway, beloved adventurers Nora, Andreas and Captain Kris are thrust into their most perilous mission yet. To stop the creature’s ruthless rampage, they must enlist new allies and delve into the country’s ancient history, searching for answers. As the clock ticks and the troll’s path of destruction grows wider, our heroes face impossible odds in their fight to save their homeland from falling into darkness.

I think “beloved” may be a stretch, but maybe this thing’s a bigger hit in the Land of the Midnight Sun that I thought.

What’s the vibe?

The first Troll was a hell of a good time, so there’s no reason not to expect more of the same here. I wouldn’t go expecting some paradigm-shattering work of cinematic genius, but it should rate highly on the crucoal Monsters Eating People Scale.
