Australian rock favourites Kisschasy have returned with their first new music in 16 years, ‘Lie To Me.’
Sixteen years since their last release, Kisschasy are officially back with brand new music ahead of their Hymns For The New Believers tour this June.
The long-awaited comeback arrives today in the form of ‘Lie To Me’, a short, sharp blast of energy that clocks in at under three minutes. The single channels the signature Kisschasy formula – guitar-driven hooks, pounding drums and introspective lyrics – with a fresh sense of urgency. It’s a tightly-wound, no-frills return that leaves just enough room for nostalgia without getting stuck in the past.
You can listen to ‘Lie To Me,’ available on all major streaming platforms, here.
The release of ‘Lie To Me’ coincides with the band’s upcoming Hymns For The New Believers national tour, which kicks off Friday June 6 in Perth.
The six-date run will see Kisschasy perform their 2007 album Hymns For The Nonbeliever front to back for the first time, following its debut vinyl release. The ARIA Top 5 album, featuring hits like Opinions Won’t Keep You Warm at Night and Spray on Pants, remains one of the band’s most celebrated records and a defining release in 2000s Australian alternative rock.
Fans attending the Kisschasy tour will have exclusive access to a limited edition 12” vinyl pressing of the album, available only through presale, along with a small run of VIP packages.
Kisschasy’s return is being framed not as a nostalgia trip, but as a genuine re-entry into the modern music landscape. With ‘Lie To Me’ leading the way and a milestone tour around the corner, the band are clearly back with purpose.
