Spite Are In The Final Week Of Recording Their New Album With Will Putney

Share

Spite are wrapping up tracking for their next full-length album with producer Will Putney. Here’s what we know so far.

Spite are nearly done tracking their next record, and they’ve got a heavy hitter behind the boards.

The Californian deathcore outfit shared an update via Instagram yesterday, confirming that their next full-length is being recorded with Grammy-winning producer Will Putney. The caption on their Instagram post was short but telling: “Final week of tracking our record.”

While no release date or album details have been shared yet, the announcement makes one thing clear: Spite’s return is imminent.

Putney is known for his work with Stray From The Path (including their most recent, and final, album Clockworked), Counterparts, Bad Omens, and countless others. His production style tends to lean into clarity without sacrificing brutality, making him a solid match for Spite’s aggressive sonic identity.

This will be the band’s first full-length since 2022’s Dedication to Flesh, a record that saw them levelling up across the board, touring globally, and earning a wider following thanks to their mix of deathcore, hardcore, and nihilistic atmosphere.

The latest update doesn’t come with any teasers, single drops, or even a title, just a glimpse of the band deep in the process. But considering the timing and how long it’s been since their last record, it’s safe to assume new music could drop before the end of the year.

For now, all eyes are on whatever Putney and Spite are cooking up. One thing’s certain: if you thought Dedication to Flesh hit hard, this next chapter might just raise the bar.
