Brittany Furlan is breaking her silence after being caught up in one of the more chaotic internet soap operas of the year.
One that somehow managed to rope in Ronnie Radke, catfishing, and Tommy Lee’s Snapchat ignorance all in one messy bundle.
If you missed it: last month, Furlan (yes, the one married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee) was exposed for messaging someone she believed was Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke via Snapchat. Spoiler: it wasn’t him. Radke outed the catfish situation on Instagram, made it crystal clear he doesn’t even have Snapchat, and accused Furlan of doubling down and threatening legal action rather than admitting she’d been duped. Lee responded. Radke clapped back. Internet chaos ensued.
Now, in the final episode of her podcast This Is the Worst, Furlan gave some unfiltered context: “I reached a place of loneliness in my marriage where I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy… You kind of grasp onto any affection that anyone gives you.”
Furlan also claims the fake Radke seemed legit because they knew intimate details about her relationship—including Lee’s drinking habits and their disconnect. “They knew the ins and outs of my relationship, which is really weird,” she said, suggesting the impersonator either did some serious digging or wasn’t entirely out of the loop.
According to Furlan, the drama might’ve been the wake-up call that both she and Lee needed. “All of this happening has weirdly brought us closer together… We were finally faced with the reality of, what would life really be like without each other?”
It’s a messy digital-age tale of parasocial rabbit holes, loneliness, and misfired celebrity trust—but at the core, it’s just another reminder that being famous doesn’t exempt you from getting catfished. Or, apparently, from texting the wrong Ronnie.
No word yet from Radke, but let’s be real—he probably already has a T-shirt idea locked and loaded.
