Slipknot, Limp Bizkit And Papa Roach Added To Battlefield 6 Season 2 Soundtrack

Share

Battlefield 6 Season 2 has officially launched, and this time the game comes with a heavier soundtrack.

The latest update to the first person shooter, which dropped yesterday (February 17th US), loads up the in game radio with a stack of rock and metal staples, giving players something loud to blast while tearing across the map in tanks, jets and armoured trucks (per Lamb Goat).

If you’ve got the Battlefield Pro pass, you unlock access to a dedicated in game radio station usable while driving or piloting vehicles, Season 2 leans straight into turn of the century aggression and festival sized hooks.

New Battlefield 6 additions include the following bangers:

  • Slipknot – ‘Duality’
  • Papa Roach – ‘Last Resort’
  • Limp Bizkit – ‘Rollin (Air Raid Vehicle)’
  • The Offspring – ‘The Kids Aren’t Alright’
  • Silly Goose – ‘Cowboy’

Yes, charging into digital warfare while Corey Taylor screams “I push my fingers into my eyes” is now very much a thing.

A Proper Throwback Energy

These tracks join a Season 1 lineup that already featured cuts from Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Pantera, Filter, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Prodigy.

It’s a playlist that feels ripped from a scorched Big Day Out side stage circa 2001, and honestly, it fits. Battlefield has always thrived on scale and spectacle, pairing that with songs built for mosh pits and monster riffs more than makes sense.

There’s something undeniably satisfying about launching a jet with ‘Rollin (Air Raid Vehicle)’ blasting in the background. Subtle? Not even close. Fun? Absolutely.

For Aussie players who grew up on this era of nu-metal and alt-rock (like myself), Season 2 is basically a playable nostalgia trip. As a matter of fact, it almost feels like these tracks were hand picked for my era.
