Jay Weinberg Is Selling Slipknot Kits, Masks And Stage Gear In New Reverb Sale

Share

Jay Weinberg is clearing out a serious chunk of his musical past.

The former Slipknot drummer has announced a major gear and memorabilia sale through his official Reverb shop, kicking off March 18th, with a portion of the proceeds going toward the industry support organisation MusiCares (per Lambgoat).

For collectors and drum nerds alike, this isn’t just a random gear dump, it’s a curated slice of Weinberg’s career across multiple bands, including Slipknot, Against Me!, Suicidal Tendencies, and even his time backing Bruce Springsteen with the E Street Band.

Slipknot Kits And Masks Headline The Sale

Among the biggest drawcards are complete drum kits used during Weinberg’s time with Slipknot, one of the standout pieces is a custom kit built with SJC Custom Drums and designed alongside renowned tattoo artist Thomas Hooper.

That kit was used during the touring cycle for Slipknot’s 2019 album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’, making it a particularly tempting piece for fans who followed the band’s return to arena domination in that era.

Weinberg is also putting up Slipknot masks and stage worn outfits, offering a rare chance to grab items tied directly to the band’s live mythology.

A Wild ‘Pokemon Vomit’ Drum Kit

One of the more unusual pieces up for grabs is a hand painted kit created by Weinberg himself, the multi coloured balloon design earned the nickname ‘Pokemon Vomit’, and it saw action during Weinberg’s touring years with Against Me!, before later reappearing on a European run with Suicidal Tendencies.

For studio obsessives, the sale also includes drumheads used during the recording sessions for ‘We Are Not Your Kind’, carefully catalogued by the songs they were tracked on.

A Roland V-Drum kit used while writing material for both ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ and Slipknot’s 2022 album ‘The End, So Far’ will also be available.

A Career Behind The Kit

Weinberg’s résumé stretches well beyond Slipknot. Over the years he has played with Suicidal Tendencies, Against Me!, Madball, and Hesitation Wounds, carving out a reputation as one of the hardest-hitting drummers in modern heavy music.

He served as Slipknot’s drummer from 2014 until late 2023, following the departure of Joey Jordison, Earlier this year Weinberg also confirmed he had stepped away from Suicidal Tendencies after two years with the band.

For fans of heavy music history, this Reverb drop might be one of the closest chances to owning a literal piece of it.
