For Ocean Grove, the tour marks another huge moment in what has already been a relentless few years for the Melbourne trio, fresh off winning Most Performed Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Work at the 2026 APRA Awards for “RAINDROP,” the band continue to push deeper into their fusion of nu metal, hardcore and alternative rock, a sound they’ve long labelled “Oddworld Music.”
Since breaking out with 2017’s The Rhapsody Tapes, Ocean Grove have built a reputation as one of Australia’s most unpredictable and creative heavy acts, balancing massive hooks and explosive live performances that have only grown bigger with every release.
Their latest album, 2024’s ODDWORLD, pushed that evolution even further, while recent tours supporting Poppy and Thornhill across Australia, the UK and Europe have only sharpened the band’s live attack.
Support acts are on point
The upcoming tour also marks the long awaited Australian return of Cane Hill, who haven’t toured locally since supporting Bullet for My Valentine back in 2016.
Meanwhile, Western Sydney heavy hitters Deficit continue their rapid rise through the Australian heavy scene, while Adelaide’s Blinder bring their atmospheric blend of shoegaze textures and crushing heaviness to the lineup.
With Ocean Grove’s headline shows becoming increasingly chaotic and immersive, the Oddworld Underground Tour is shaping up to be one of the most stacked heavy lineups Australia will see this year.
