Fans of electronic and industrial music have reason to celebrate, with VNV Nation officially announcing their long awaited return to Australia in February 2027.
Presented by Hardline Media, the tour will mark the British-Irish outfit’s first Australian visit in years, bringing their acclaimed blend of futurepop, industrial and electronic music to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Fronted by founder, vocalist and songwriter Ronan Harris, VNV Nation have spent more than three decades building a devoted global following, originally formed in London after Harris relocated from Dublin in the late 1980s, the project evolved from early electronic body music influences into one of the most respected names in alternative electronic music.

Drawing inspiration from pioneers such as Kraftwerk, DAF and The Human League, VNV Nation found international success with 1999’s Empires, an album widely regarded as the band’s breakthrough release. The record topped Germany’s influential Deutsche Alternative Charts and helped establish the group’s signature combination of uplifting melodies, cinematic atmospheres and emotionally charged songwriting.
Since then, VNV Nation have continued to dominate the alternative electronic landscape, regularly topping charts across Europe and becoming festival favourites throughout Germany and beyond.
No signs of slowing down
In 2025, the band released both Construct and Destruct, with Construct reaching No. 3 on the German Official Albums Chart, the releases further cemented VNV Nation‘s reputation as one of the genre’s most enduring and innovative acts.
Australian audiences can expect a career spanning setlist featuring fan favourites alongside material from the band’s latest releases. Known for their immersive live performances and passionate fanbase, the upcoming tour offers a rare opportunity for local fans to experience VNV Nation’s powerful live show without travelling overseas.
