Avenged Sevenfold continue to blur the line between metal, electronic music and multimedia art, with their alter ego project STATICA unveiling its first official music video for the title track.
Directed by Lance Drake and filmed in Northridge, California, the Avenged Sevenfold video expands on the mysterious rollout surrounding the project, which arrived without warning just over a week ago. Like the EP itself, the clip embraces a futuristic, dystopian aesthetic that matches the release’s robotic vocals, glitchy electronics and sci-fi atmosphere.
STATICA arrived as a surprise four track EP, following 2023’s Life Is But A Dream… and the standalone single ‘Magic’, which was released as part of the record breaking launch campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (per Blabbermouth).
Rather than revisiting familiar territory, the band once again pushes into experimental territory, leaning heavily on synths, electronic beats and heavily processed vocal textures across its 18 minute runtime.

Whether tracks from STATICA find their way into the live set remains to be seen, but the project reinforces what fans have come to expect over the past two decades. Avenged Sevenfold have never been content repeating themselves, instead choosing to evolve with every release, regardless of how divisive that journey might become.
For listeners willing to embrace the unexpected, STATICA offers another bold step into uncharted territory and the new title track video is the clearest visual statement yet of where the band’s imagination is heading.
