Sydney metalcore heavyweights Polaris have released ‘Without You’, their first new music in three years and a deeply personal reflection on the loss of guitarist Ryan Siew.
The new Polaris track out now via ADA in Australia and New Zealand and SharpTone Records internationally, ‘Without You’ arrives as Polaris prepare for another massive run of international shows before returning home for Good Things Festival this December.

Polaris Step Into Their Next Chapter
There was never going to be an easy way for Polaris to make this return, Siew tragically passed unexpectedly in June 2023, only months before the release of the band’s third album, ‘Fatalism’.
Three years later, ‘Without You’ finds Polaris attempting to put some of that grief into words, without pretending there is any neat resolution waiting at the other end.
‘Without You’ is heavy in every sense, the band describe the song in equally stark terms.
“Never did we imagine that we would one day have reason to write this song. But three years on, we find ourselves still making sense of this immeasurable tragedy, and what it has meant to be left in the wake.
This is the sound of crushing loss, shock, grief and heartache, and the beginning of us learning how to share that with the world.”
The accompanying video (above) doesn’t shy away from that history either. Polaris perform inside an empty cathedral while imagery from throughout the band’s past is woven through the clip, acknowledging what came before while confronting what comes next.

Good Things Festival Awaits
‘Without You’ follows an enormous period on the road for Polaris. After supporting Linkin Park across their Australian arena tour in March, the band recently completed a North American run with Electric Callboy and will head to the UK and Europe with I Prevail across September and October.
They’ll then return home for Good Things Festival 2026 alongside Limp Bizkit, Simple Plan, Spiritbox, The All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, Alexisonfire, Speed, Neck Deep and plenty more.
Good Things hits Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, December 4th, Sydney Showground on Saturday, December 5th and Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, December 6th.
