Parkway Drive Tease Full Trailer For Sydney Opera House Film ‘Home’

More than a year after Parkway Drive turned the Sydney Opera House into one of the most unlikely metal venues in Australia, the band are preparing to revisit the night on screen.

Parkway Drive have begun teasing the full trailer for Home, their forthcoming concert feature film built around the Byron Bay heavyweights’ landmark June 2025 performance at the Opera House.

In a new social post, the band are asking fans to comment “HOME” to be among the first to see the full trailer.

There is still no firm release date, but Parkway Drive’s official website now prominently promotes Home as a “Concert Feature Film” and lists it as “coming soon”.

The film captures the band’s June 9th, 2025 show inside the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, where they performed with a full symphonic orchestra for a one night only black tie event.

BLUNT was there, calling it “a monumental night of Aussie metal”.

The stage was covered in moss and native Australian flora, while Parkway Drive rebuilt songs including ‘Home Is For The Heartless’, ‘Prey’, ‘Carrion’ and ‘The Colour of Leaving’ around orchestral arrangements.

A night to be remembered

The night opened with a Welcome To Country by Mathew Doyle, Brock Tutt and Josh Sly before conductor Alec Robert led the orchestral arrangements, giving the performance a scale Parkway Drive had never previously attempted in Australia.

Nooky appeared for ‘Shadow Boxing’, while Jenna McDougall joined the band for the live debut of ‘A Deathless Song’. By the time Parkway Drive reached closing track ‘Wild Eyes’, much of the initially seated Opera House crowd was on its feet.

Home will also extend beyond what happened inside the Concert Hall.

Last October, frontman Winston McCall rappelled from a helicopter onto the Sydney Opera House sails as part of a spectacular sequence filmed for the project. The stunt, along with footage from the concert itself, was confirmed for inclusion in the film.

Home is produced by Hype Republic and directed by Allan Hardy and Macario De Souza, the latter best known for Bra Boys.

For now, Parkway Drive are keeping the next move simple: comment “HOME” and wait for the full trailer.
