Share

The Offspring guitarist Noodles is taking time away from live performances to deal with a health issue, with the band set to keep playing in his absence.

Noodles, whose real name is Kevin Wasserman, shared the news in a statement posted to The Offspring’s social media on October 21. He did not disclose the nature of his condition or set a date for his return.

“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue.”

His message also addressed what the break means for the rest of the band.

“The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.”

He closed by thanking fans: “Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”

The Offspring’s Upcoming Shows

The band’s official tour calendar lists a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on October 24, followed by SEMA Fest in Las Vegas on November 6 and Corona Capital in Mexico City on November 21. The statement did not name a guitarist to fill in for Noodles.

When Noodles spoke to BLUNT ahead of The Offspring’s 2025 Australian tour, he discussed Supercharged and the pleasure he still took in performing. “You know, we really love what we do. I love playing music,” he said.
