Meshuggah Announce 40th Anniversary Tour With Testament And Blood Incantation

The Forty-Year Anomaly tour promises a career-spanning Meshuggah setlist, a Red Rocks debut and a formidable supporting bill.

Meshuggah will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a 2027 North American tour featuring Testament and Blood Incantation, bringing four decades of rhythmic punishment to The Forty-Year Anomaly.

The official announcement published by YouTube Theater promises a career-spanning setlist for the Live Nation run. Announced on 27 October, the tour pairs Meshuggah’s tightly interlocking riffs and drums with Testament’s Bay Area thrash and Blood Incantation’s expansive death metal.

That bill gives the anniversary a reach beyond Meshuggah’s own history. Testament bring an older thrash lineage, while Blood Incantation push death metal towards psychedelic and progressive territory. Meshuggah sit between them with a sound that has reshaped how heavy bands approach rhythm, repetition and sheer physical force.

The tour follows a fresh return to their catalogue. Reigning Phoenix Music released anniversary editions of Destroy Erase Improve and Catch Thirtythree on 24 July, bringing two different stages of the band’s development back into focus ahead of the promised retrospective set. The label’s release catalogue lists both editions, although neither album has been announced for a full performance on this tour.

Meshuggah are also asking fans for original live, backstage and candid photographs taken between 1990 and 2015. The request appears on the band’s official website, where they say they are preparing something special. What the collected images will become has yet to be revealed.

Meshuggah’s 2027 tour dates and tickets

The announced itinerary begins at Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum on 12 February and extends through Milwaukee Metal Fest on 14 May, with a break between the February–March and April–May legs. Festival appearances also include Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, according to the tour announcement reported by Blabbermouth.

Among the headline dates is Meshuggah’s first Red Rocks appearance, according to that announcement. The venue confirms the show for 21 April in Morrison, Colorado, with Testament and Blood Incantation on the bill.

General sale for the newly announced headline dates begins on Friday, 30 October. Ticketmaster lists a 10am local venue time start for its participating shows.

The announcement covers the US and Canada, with no Australian leg included. The full itinerary and ticket links are available through Meshuggah’s official tour page.
