Converge will return to Australia and New Zealand in March 2027 for their first headline tour here since 2019, with seven shows joining their sold-out appearance at Melbourne’s inaugural Lucidity festival.
The run begins at Perth’s Rechabite on March 11th, taking in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before crossing to Wellington and Auckland. For Melbourne fans who missed out on Lucidity, the announcement includes a second chance to catch the band at 170 Russell on March 14th.
There’s an important distinction between those Melbourne dates. Converge’s full performance of Jane Doe is exclusive to Lucidity on March 13th, while the following night pairs them with Portrayal Of Guilt, Terminal Sleep and Persecutor for a separate headline show.
Released in 2001, Jane Doe helped reshape hardcore and metalcore through its collision of chaotic aggression and emotional vulnerability. Its influence runs through plenty of the heavy music that followed, making the chance to hear it in full a significant part of Lucidity’s appeal.
Converge also arrive with two new albums behind them. Vocalist Jacob Bannon, guitarist Kurt Ballou, bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller released both Love Is Not Enough and Hum Of Hurt this year through Deathwish/Epitaph, adding another substantial stretch of material to a catalogue spanning more than three decades.

Extortion And Portrayal Of Guilt Join Select Dates
Extortion and Ends In Tragedy will join the Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane shows, with local supports changing each night. Territory open in Perth, Stressed join the Adelaide bill, Lo! appear in Sydney and Nerve Damage round out Brisbane.
Portrayal Of Guilt will play Lucidity and the additional Melbourne show before joining Converge for both New Zealand dates. Those Wellington and Auckland bills also include Wiegedood and Libbianski, giving fans across the Tasman a different lineup from the Australian leg.
